About The Concerto Camp
The Concerto Camp (TCC) is a classical music educational program initiated and managed by Scala Arts. TCC aims to provide immersive and inspiring learning opportunities for avid and advanced young soloists eager to build up concerto repertoire and orchestral performance experience. Every year, TCC assigns a set of concertos as the repertoire of study and develops a series of courses that help participants methodically and practically master these works and beyond.
EVERY enrolled student will

have a dedicated intensive rehearsal session with TCC's professional partner orchestra.

perform one movement from the repertoire of study with the orchestra in a concert at an esteemed concert hall.

have the final concerto performance professionally recorded with multi-cameras and audio engineering.

have one-on-one private lessons with renowned concert artists and educators.

have group lessons and seminars covering different aspects of concerto performance taught by renowned performing artists and educators.

have opportunities to sign up for group solo recitals at an esteemed concert venue.
The Concerto Camp 2026 is for PIANO concertos only. More instruments' concertos will be added to future camps.

An enrolled student can choose only ONE movement to play with the orchestra. He/She can express preferrence, but has to accept TCC's assignment for programming purpose.

All courses are mandatory. TCC reserves the right to deny issuing the Certificate of Completion to students with absence, lateness, or early leave.
From July 6 to July 13, 2026, daily access to a piano practice room is secured for every enrolled student for 2 hours. A student can book extra hours of practice at his/her own cost, depending on availability.
On July 14, 2026, a 1-hour pre-performance warm-up room is secured for every enrolled student. A student can book extra hours of practice at his/her own cost, depending on availability.

Cost of Attendance
Tuition Fee:
$4350 USD
Per Person. Board, accommodation, travel, and insurance are NOT included.
Companion/Audit Pass:
$235 USD
Per person. For an interested non-participant or an adult companion of an enrolled student. Access to rehearsals, concerts, and the social luncheon.
Accommodation Suggestion:
An enrolled student and his/her family members are free to choose their own accommodations according to their own budget and needs. TCC recommends Holiday Inn Vienna City and Hotel Drei Kronen due to their proximity to the Ehrbarsaal and reasonable pricing. Early booking is advised.

Required Prescreening Videos:

one fast movement of a piano sonata from the Classical period

a piano solo work written IN or AFTER the 19th century
Please record the two prescreening pieces in two separate videos and upload them to major video hosting platforms, such as YouTube, Vimeo, Bilibili, Youku, etc. Please mark the piano work's name, composer, and applicant's name in the video title. Applicants need to provide the videos' URLs in the application form.
Videos do not have to be professional or studio recordings, but the sound and visual quality should be of high quality and should accurately reflect your musicianship. Applicant’s face (in profile) should be visible throughout the performance. The whole of the keyboard should be visible, and the pedals should also be in view. The performance must be from memory. Videos have to be shot uninterrupted in one camera angle without editing. Videos have to be shot within 6 months before submission.

Supplemental videos are preferred, NOT required. They are used to assess the applicant's pre-existing collaborative ability. The videos can be the applicant's past performance recordings, old or new. Edited multi-camera recordings are acceptable. Applicant’s face (in profile) should be visible in the video.
The applicant can choose to upload either one or both supplementary videos to major video hosting platforms, such as YouTube, Vimeo, Bilibili, Youku, etc. Please mark the piano work's name, composer, and applicant's name in the video title. The applicant needs to provide the videos' URLs in the application form.

The application fee by the Early Bird Application Deadline, December 15, 2025, is 95 USD. From December 16, 2025 till the Final Application Deadline, January 15, 2026, the application fee is 125 USD. The fee can only be paid online at the time of application submission. Payment can be made using all major credit cards and PayPal. An application will be submitted automatically only when the payment transaction has been processed. Application fee is NOT refundable.
